Hi! My name is Shakirah
I’m a wife of 20 years, a proud mom to two amazing teens (one’s off to college!), and an educator with over two decades of experience. I stay busy—because if it’s good for kids, why not get involved? Over the years, I’ve taught everything from AP Statistics to Sports & Entertainment Marketing, and coached volleyball, softball, basketball, step team, and FBLA. Helping others is at the heart of everything I do.
But here’s the thing—when you’re juggling all of that, one thing often gets pushed aside: time for yourself. As a busy working mom, I’ve always wanted to cook healthy meals for my family, but finding that balance? Not always easy. That’s when I discovered the magic of meal prepping.
I started prepping everything from breakfast to dinner, and soon realized—this could help so many people. Why not share it?
Planned Eats MKE was born from that idea. I know how hard it is to consistently prepare healthy meals when life gets busy. That’s why my meals are simple, nutritious, and convenient—perfect for families on the go, busy professionals, or health enthusiasts. As a partially vegetarian household, I also make sure to offer a wide variety of options for both plant-based and meat-loving lifestyles.
Some of my favorite prep hacks? Salads in a jar, egg bites, breakfast casseroles, and hearty meals you can pop right in the microwave. Trust me—once you try it, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.
